The long summer evenings are a perfect time to catch up on all our sewing projects, so why not get some inspiration from this Last Minute Baby Quilt brought to us by tutor Anita Birtles, who says this is an easy and very inspiring project ,a perfect gift for friends or relatives with a new-born baby and super quick.
Sallieann Harrison returns, this time with her coil pot designs – a really different way to create storage and as well as possibly proving addictive – sally has made lots of variations –it uses up fabric strips from your stash.
Mandy Shaw shows us how to create this lovely pincushion which upcycles a vintage piece of embroidery she has fallen in love with.
And Carolyn Forster is back in the studio, this time inspiring us with a beautiful Rose Block that uses just one very simple template to create this stunning pattern and is again inspired by a classic vintage design.
our Tip Thursday video comes from expert quilter Claire Campion who tells us not to be afraid of quilting over our patchwork.

About the Tutor
Claire Campion is a modern quilt designer and award winning teacher. You will be inspired by her Walking Foot Quilting techniques.
Anita loves the themes of recycle, reuse and no waste which has led her to scrap piecing projects as the main focus of her work. And she is keen to improvise in making quilts, so rarely follows a pattern.
Carolyn is an accomplished quilt maker, teacher and author of several books and patterns. Carolyn has been sewing quilts for over 20 years and just loves using up scraps. She is constantly inspired by vintage quilt blocks she finds on her travels and she brings them up-to-date with modern construction techniques – stitch n’ flip and Quilting on the Go are two of her favourites.
Sallieann enjoys traditonal quilting techniques and has won several quilt show awards in the UK and the USA. Be sure to check out her wool applique projects using a blend of hand and machine sewing.
Mandy brings a distinctive whimsical design style to traditional techniques such as embellishing with buttons and rik rak.
