A useful tip
Quarter square triangles often surround blocks set on points in this clip or within smaller blocks, such as the Ohio Star. Also, you can use it to avoid having the stretchy bias edge making your quilts all wobbly.
This tip from Dawn is taken from a more extended workshop video entitled ‘Snuggle Quilt’ – click here to watch.
And if you want to learn about the Ohio Star block. This is part of the series Your First Sampler Quilt, free to subscribed members.
Since we made this video with Dawn, we have come across a great template that helps with the maths and allows you to cut these triangles from strips of fabric. Check out the EZ Quilting Companion Angle template video by clicking here – or go straight to the shop, click here, to buy one!
