What a great little idea to share!  It could be used when making bias tape, too.

Description

Create some bias binding with the help of the iron

As quilters, we are a generous lot and love to share. This super tip was passed to Helen by one of her students, and now we share it with you all. It makes short work of folding over that edge, and you could do both edges at once when making, say, bias binding for use as stems and Celtic and such.

What Helen Deighan  says about herself:

As a teacher by training, I enjoy organizing workshops where students can concentrate on creating bright, solid, and transparent colors – with a minimum of fuss and mess.

I’ve written several dyeing booklets and produced a video detailing some of my techniques, and in 2001 I wrote my first book – “Dyeing In Plastic Bags.”

Today, most of my creative energy goes into textile coil pots and writing.

In January 2002, I opened my new studio in rural Hampshire. It’s purpose-built for both dyeing and sewing, with plenty of light and space. That is the perfect environment for my classes and workshops.
