Description

Valerie demonstrates a great way to use up ready-to-sew 5″ square pre-cuts. The background element gives the tilt effect.

She uses a rotary cutter,  ruler, and a template to cut the background pieces. Separating the background into left and right pieces enable the squares to tilt in opposite directions.

A clear explanation of the partial seam technique results in a neat finish to the block.

An emphasis on finger pressing centres to match the pieces gives an accurate seam, and results  in a block that can be trimmed easily leaving a 1/4″ seam.

This versatile block makes up variety of quilt sizes. The more blocks made, the bigger the quilt will be.

Adding sashing to the rows will produce yet another look to this fun block.
