We love reporting on the progress of Valerie’s  40 minute quilt video which has taken the internet by storm and this week it has hit 3 million views – this is truly amazing from  our very own Queen of Scrap. What an internet sensation she has become.

We still have so many people sending us their versions of the quilt.

Karen made this one and keeps it on her grandson’s bed in the guest room. Apparently he has happily taken some peaceful naps under it? (he is 2). She added the lace border for visual interest. The beautiful butterflies are needle-turn appliqué.

Dianne sent us a few pics of stripy quilts she made. She says they are “very scrappy and nowhere near perfect but such a good way to use up odd pieces of fabric. They go together so quickly and make a colourful unique quilt”. We think they look fabulously colourful.

We also have this lovely one from Sam on Facebook. After watching this video she was inspired to use up all the scraps from making masks this lockdown. She’s going to call it her 2020 quilt.
