Navajo Blanket Quilt – part 3
How’s your Navajo Blanket coming along? This week we’re up to Part 3 which Anne was inspired to include when she saw it used on a piece of Navajo pottery. This quarter square triangle technique is quick and easy to do on the sewing machine; it does require you to sew an accurate 1/4" seam though.Anne has teamed the units up with some plain squares, and then added a fudge factor -don’t we just love that! Knitting with Rosee Woodland

Together technique which is a way of decreasing your stitches that gives a right hand leaning edge – so useful in necklines. Watch Now+

Throwback Thursday
In this month’s Throwback Thursday, Sylvia Critcher takes a simple block and gives it a clever twist to create a lovely table runner or you could raid your stash to make an interesting scrap quilt. Easy for Beginners – you can follow her simple steps which give you accurate sewing (and she uses up all the bits too so there is no waste!) Cover St. Mary’s Church bell tower in poppies
St. Mary’s Church in Wotton-under Edge are planning to cover the Bell Tower in poppies by the 11th of November to commemorate 100 years since the end of the First World War.All poppies are welcomed – Knitted, Crocheted, Felt and Fabric. Click here for details
