Gillian Harris is the queen of felting and her shop in Dorking Surrey is home to lots of other colourful things, and Valerie gets the grand tour, starting off on the sofa of inspiration.
The shop is home to lots of felting items, as well as the merino wool tops and other felting paraphernalia. Also, the shop caters for spinning, drop spindling, knitting and crochet, buttons and fabric.
In the knitting and yarn section you can get hand dyed and hand spun yarns, cashmere, as well as the more traditional skeins of wool and as Gillian loves colour, she has her own brand of coloured knitting needles. Oh, don’t forget the jumbo needles, to get you extreme knitting!

About the Tutor
Valerie is the founder and Creative Director of justhands-on.tv , as well as our very own ‘Queen of Scrap’. She founded Creative Quilting, a quilt shop in Hampton Court, where she still teaches to this day.
