Description
This little Miniature quilt kit designed by Julia Gahagan, is worked in shadow applique.
All you need to make this mini quilt measuring 5” wide and 9.5” long when finished.
This mono quilts is made using Julia’s shadow appliqué quilting technique. The small pieces of vintage and recycled fabrics are placed on the wadding and secured with fabric glue. Then the net is laid over the top.
The quilt is secured with some machine or hand stitches and the final flower designs are embroidered over the top. The edges are stitched with a zig zag stitch rather than a fabric binding. This is a quick and easy little project where you can either do some quick machine stitching or go to town with some hand embroidery.
