Description
Following on from her Single Irish Chain quilt, Valerie utilises strip piecing on a double variation of one of her favourites patterns.
This intermediate quilt pattern is a must for those of you who enjoy sewing.
Valerie demonstrates the use of strip pieces to make Block A from 3 different strip sets, utilising 3 fabrics cut from yardage. The resulting blocks make up the Double Irish Chain when joined with Block B the infill block.
She describes how to avoid the rainbow effect on our strip sets by sewing the strips in different directions, and how nestling the seams produces a crisp finish to the blocks.
There are workshop notes for subscribed members.
