Description
Videos were available from 15th July. On Friday, July 15th, Jennie Rayment did a bit of “Changing Places.”. When she told us how to cut out and swap bits of our patchwork with some quite remarkable results. Valerie showed us a very nifty little device for helping you with your seams. The Strip Stick is one of those “must-have” tools you won’t want to be without.
On Friday 22nd July, we got to part 8 of Jennie’s Stripy, Stripey Story Quilt. Having built our cozy cottages in part 7, we were now working on the gardens in between and some beautiful snail trails. We also visited Henley-on-Thames for a fabulous exhibition organized by Prison charity, Fine Cell Work. Held at Lady Sew and Sew, it features quilts made by male and female prisoners and offers an extraordinary insight into life inside.
On Friday 29th July, Jennie gave us some Snail trail inspiration for her from her work on the Stripy Story Quilt. While, Valerie met Vanessa from Lady Sew and Sew, who told her about a fabulous Tuffett kit. You can buy it from them and make it at your leisure.
