Sylvia has designed a quilt that can be created from your stash and made by hand or machine.
Description
Well, we know the secret, and bribing us with fabric won’t work, you will just have to wait!
In the meantime, have a sort through your fabrics or ask Santa for funds for shopping early in the New Year.
You can see Sylvia worked from a pink and green palette in this promotional video, but the workshop does use a very different palette, so don’t feel you have to copy!
These are for the basic quilt measuring approx 48 ins (122 cms) wide x 63 ins (160 cms) long before adding borders, these will be optional and given later.
If you are using a different colour palette, please keep to the colour values indicated within this list.
Minimum Amounts required:
quantites based on fabric 112cm (42″ wide)
- 12 Fat ¼’s mixtures of prints in various tones, but from the same colour palette – pink;
- 75cm dark pink;
- 25cm of 4 different prints & plains in green colour way;
- 50cm (40cms) pale cream;
- 1 mtre pale pink, needs to contrast though with the 12 Fat ¼’s.
You can decide if you want to add borders later, this will be personal taste for which colours to use and will depend on your final quilt size.
Sylvia has designed the workshop, so you can do it by hand or by machine with a combination of templates, some for rotary cutting and some again for handwork, but either way you will need to pay attention to your seam allowance!
