If you are recycling the shirt fabric think about using the button closure as the back of the cushion – buttons and buttonholes already done!

A great recycling idea

Recycling is definitely good for the soul. Not only does it reduce waste BUT if the fabric has an emotional attachment it has so much more meaning.

This is such a simple idea that makes the most of the shirt fronts. You could also think about using the cuffs in much the same way – no buttonholes for you to make! (my thanks to Gill for allowing me to use her cushion as the example).

If you like the idea of the stitch and flip style you can see more in the Recycling Ties Video click here
