Description
Following on from her Single Irish Chain quilt, Valerie utilises strip piecing on a double variation of one of her favourites patterns.
This intermediate quilt pattern is a must for those of you who enjoy sewing.
Valerie demonstrates the use of strip pieces to make Block A from 3 different strip sets, utilising 3 fabrics cut from yardage. The resulting blocks make up the Double Irish Chain when joined with Block B, the infill block.
She describes how to avoid the rainbow effect on our strip sets by sewing the strips in different directions, and how nestling the seams produces a crisp finish to the blocks.
There are workshop notes for subscribed members.
