Dahlia Cushion Kit in Pink from The Stitch Witch

The lovely cushion is made with fused applique and shadow quilting.

This lovely Kit comes complete:

it includes everything pattern and templates, graduated fabric in Pink, backing and boarder fabric in green, background fabric in white, heat ‘n’ bond, voile, thread and pattern.

This Dahlia design is deceptively easy to make using the shadow quilting technique.  Just start by drawing the petal shapes onto the heat ‘n’ bond,  iron on the graduated fabric, cut out the petal shapes, peel off the backing paper, iron onto the white fabric in the correct position.

Layer up with the wadding, fabric and finally voile on top and sew through all the layers using perle thread.
