#9 Peyton Quilt from Fat Quarter Baby Book
This is another delightful quilt pattern from the authors of Fat Quarter Baby Book. Valerie guides you through the process for making this highly addictive block for this quilt. It is simply constructed from 4 squares, with stitch-n-flip corners. It works very well with directional fabrics too. Great for beginners too, as you don’t have to worry about the seam allowance. Valerie also has a great idea for layering your quilt by using the fusible wadding, which means you just need to iron the layers into place.

A huggable cushion from Jane Czaja uses 54 squares to create this lovely patchwork dog. You could colour co-ordinate or simply use up scraps. Each square is in fact only 3 rounds. You start with a circle – want to know how – well Jane shares the secret.

We also learn more about her wonderful plans for our textile retreat in March 2021.
#4 How to create textile seed heads
We caught up with Pauline Verrinder at a Textiles in Focus event, which she organised. Pauline shows us how to create 3D shapes from cleaning scrim and thread with the help of her sewing machine or you can do this by hand. Scrim is usually used for cleaning purposes but once dyed a pretty colour it is amazing how effective it can become.

A special honourable mention goes to 3 very popular videos in 2020.
First, the Monthly Trailer which goes out at the beginning of every month and covers what is coming in the month ahead. Who doesn’t love a Trailer!
Secondly, our site “Welcome Video” which helps visitors to the site understand
And finally, a video that demonstrates what it is like on a justhands-on.tv weekend retreat.
These videos get an enormous number of views every year. However, we are relegating them to honourable mention because they serve a different role than the full length workshops, hints & tips, interviews with artists, etc. They are so popular we just had to mention them here.
