Our Product of the Month for November is this crochet kit which makes an adult sized beanie hat. What a lovely way to keep head and ears warm on those long walks outside. The finished dimensions are approximately: circumference is 56cm/22″ and top to brim measures 21.5cm/8½”.

Double patchwork binding technique with Sallieann Harrison
This double binding technique gives you such a lovely finish on the front of your quilt (or project). It is straightforward under Sallieann’s guidance. She gives you measurements for both 2 1/2″ and 3″ binding (which is cut straight, not on the bias). She also talks you through the mitred corners and has a really neat tip on how to join the ends back with a mitred join. The final stage of anchoring the binding when you’ve turned it onto the front of your quilt, is also done using the sewing machine. Watch Now+
