How to Knit a Rabbit Scarf with Fiona Goble

Finishing your table runner

Last week, was the last part of Nancy’s Tudor Rose Table Runner.  In this workshop Nancy takes you through the final stages of making this English Paper pieced runner. She shares with us how to add the remaining two shapes needed –  45  degree diamonds and kites – and the applique that is also needed. That just leaves, the three traditional little words – layer, quilt and bind – and your project is done. Squares on Squares with Jennie Rayment

Jennie shows us how to turn simple squares into triangles which are then squares again! – and no waste! So like Jenny! This is a stitch ‘n flip technique that usually leaves lots of triangles for you to use up.  You could do this in the borders but Jennie has another great idea to share with you. Jennie has used red and green which are sort of Christmas colours, but this isn’t essential. Snuggle Quilt with Dawn Cameron Dick.

This is a great stash-buster quilt from Dawn. It works with any colour theme and is not as complicated as it may look. Table Runner with Valerie Nesbitt

This lovely table runner was designed by Stof fabrics in their Duo and Mini Duo fabric ranges. It uses very modern-style fabrics which need no additional enhancement with quilting. It’s made with the stitch and flip method of construction – so both sides at once and then bind! Valerie discusses some of the alternative fabrics you can use eg her black and white version used a jelly roll. Then she suggests thinking about a Christmas version, as well as maybe adjusting the size to create table mats.
