Our Book of the Month for January is Modern Views with 3 Yard Quilts by Fabric Cafe. The quilts have been designed by Donna Robertson and the quilt top, border and binding can be made with 3 yards of fabric (so if you purchase 3m you will have a little bit more!) There are tips on making Half Square Rectangles & Half Square Triangles for a couple of the quilts. The quilt sizes are 42″ x 58 or 46″ x 58 for example but the book also includes instructions for enlarging all the quilts to twin & queen/king sizes.

Meet Gaynor White – Crochet Enthusiast
Gaynor White chats to Valerie Nesbitt about her love of crochet and yarn bombing her local town. An expert in combining stitches to make stunning blankets she talks through the various techniques she teaches. You are always welcome to join us in the sewing corner as a day or residential student on all our retreats if you don’t fancy booking on the class offered and you’d simply like a little sewing me time.
