Star blocks are a fabulous way to explore different piecing and patchwork methods.
Anita will take you through some simple stars made with half square triangles, Wonky nine patch stars and improv star blocks.
You will learn simple accurate piecing, template and random piecing along with some basic improv star blocks.
All joined together in your own interpretation of a Modern Stars Quilt.
The weekend is ideal for beginners through to those with more experience.
The +FRIDAY package includes two nights of Dinner, Bed & Breakfast (Fri + Sat) with lunch and refreshments throughout.
A 3 day, weekend sewing retreat for £595 per person
Arrive on Friday evening, enjoy a drink and fixed menu dinner with your fellow retreat attendees. Wake up Saturday morning to a buffet breakfast, refreshed and ready to start the rest of your weekend. Classes will take place in the hotel from 10 – 4 on Saturday and 10 – 4 on Sunday. AND you can work until late, late, late on Saturday evening if you want. Lunch and refreshments will be served both days, including a buffet lunch and dinner on Saturday as well as breakfast and buffet lunch on Sunday.

New Place Hotel, Hampshire
New Place Hotel will be our home for the weekend. Located in the Hampshire countryside and easily accessible from A3, M3, A31, M27, the hotel offers a perfect countryside setting, blending traditional and modern spaces over 32 acres of landscaped gardens. It is an ideal location for sewing retreats with modern teaching settings and accommodation, and a restaurant in the Manor House. There is a Fitness Centre that you are welcome to use during your stay. So you can use the gym or just relax by the pool and enjoy a quiet moment in the jacuzzi. The choice is yours! There is also free parking and free wifi. Indeed, New Place offers everything you need for the perfect weekend retreat.

We do our best to accommodate special requests, e.g. non-residential place, partners, Friday night accommodation, etc. Disabled access information is available upon request.
