Description

Dionne Swift continues her Sensational Sewing Seminar Series talking about the importance of the machine’s needle.

She demonstrates the parts of the needle. From the groove designed to support the smooth run of the thread to the size of the eye.

There are needles for various types of sewing and Dionne explains some of those you may use.

The sound of the needle changes when it is blunt so changing your needle regularly is a must. In fact the manufacturers recommend after 8 hours of sewing.

Dionne’s mantra is to get the needle right, change regularly and before it breaks and it will reward your sewing.
