Description
Carolyn designed this to be used with a jelly roll, but you could cut your own 2.5 inch strips from stash to create this stunning quilt.
Carolyn has several versions of this quilt to show you -and each of them as lovely as the last; a great use of the jelly or indeed strips of scrap fabric (and how about increasing the size of the strips to create a lovely quilt from just 4 blocks!)
Even the background can be scrappy, as long as the fabrics have the same tonal value.
Carolyn does use the sewing machine in her demonstration, but you could just as easily sew this block by hand, even with the partial seam technique.

We are thrilled to tell you that Carolyn will be joining us at a quilt retreat for a scrappy weekend in February 2018 at the fabulous Aztec Hotel and Spa in Bristol (including teaching this quilt) and if you would like to learn more about this – just click here.
If you have enjoyed the partial seam technique, but would like to see more then here are some workshops that might be of interest.
