Patriotic Patchwork
We thought you might like to join in the fun and from the pictures in the show & tell you can see that you don’t have to be traditional – but that would be fine too!
As a subscribed member you are able to download the foundation pattern page for free – just click on the workshop notes – but if you would like to purchase the complete pattern for this cushion, then it is available through us: click here
this is an instant download too, you can start sewing straight away.
Want to see what others have already made – click here for the Show & tell page.
Note: Anne mentions some ‘Magic Paper’ that was around at the time, but sadly we can no longer get hold of it; so you will need to resort to more traditional foundation paper which needs removing! If you can’t find any locally you can get in touch with my friends at Creative Quilting: isabelle@creativequilting.co.uk
More about Anne Baxter
Anne lives in rural Devon, in a thatched cottage which she shares with her husband and two dogs. Her patchwork decorates the house throughout and you can’t help but be inspired surrounded by her work and all those old beams.
This is one of her latest ideas and she recently came up to Creative Quilting, at Hampton Court to run this as a workshop. Some alternative colour ideas are set out below – just to show you that you can be patriotic and traditional, but modern colours work really well too.
