Snowballs and Shoofly Patchwork blocks with Valerie Nesbitt
Feature fabric is just that – and it can seem such a shame to cut it up into little pieces. In this workshop Valerie keeps the squares to a reasonable size but you could readjust to even bigger!. She then combines the simple stitch ‘n flip snowball with a shoo fly setting in the sashing and border which is again simple to do. Kantha Stitching with Angela Daymond
This traditional style of stitching is very easy to do and great for all those who love handwork. In the workshop Angela talks about the styles of stitching, the regional differences, what threads she prefers, together with the relevant needles. Traditionally this work had no wadding, so it is very easy to stitch and Angela also gives tips on how to layer up and what to consider if, like her, you like to use recycled fabrics. Watch Now+
