Chop Suey with Valerie Nesbitt
In this new video, Valerie demonstrates how to create this strip-pieced block with jelly roll strips and some magical cutting. It’s great for beginners as it’s a pretty straightforward strip-pieced block that gives amazing results. The pattern works with any fabric colour choice, so you can raid your stash for this one, but Valerie selected blues and creams to give a more balanced look. Watch Now+

Bargello Table Mats with Valerie Nesbitt
This Bargello pattern is quick and effective as a table mat and a great way to be introduced to the cylinder method of construction. The table mat was very economical on fabrics – Valerie used 2 ½ strips and in fact chose them from a 10 fabric strip roll, and from her 10 fabric roll she was able to make 4 table mats. Obviously you need border fabric, wadding and binding. Watch Now+
