Kantha is a traditional technique that originated in India and Bangladesh that uses a running stitch and is suitable for everyone from beginner to expert.
This Kantha Winter Fox kit contains all the perle 12 thread, cotton fabrics and instructions to stitch up an image of a beautiful fox, with big bushy tail against a backdrop of a winter landscape.
It is also the third in my “Winter” Kantha series. This kit features the running stitch to stitch the majority of this kit. The three shrubs in the foreground are stitched with a detached chain stitch and detailed stitch diagrams are given. The kit is suitable for a wide range of stitching abilities. It would make a lovely kit for someone new to Kantha work. It’s also great for more experienced stitchers.
