TASTER: Deep Dark Forest Row of Jennie`s Stripy Stripey Story Quilt
FREE Tasters (Quilting) • Educational, G, 01-Jun-2016
In this row Jennie uses a selection of fabrics for the trees and trunks – but again from Fat 1’4’s. This deep dark forest uses the Tri-Recs ruler which makes cutting fast and accurate. Jennie shows you how to cut one at a time, but you could use the rotary cutter to its potential by cutting lots at once!
The template also gives you really accurate piecing.
While you are making this row, think about how great this design would be as a border for another quilt. You could use scraps or just two colour and maybe drop the tree trunks.
The Tri-Recs ruler is particularly good for making the 54/40 Flight or Flight block which is featured in the background (top right hand side), and we do have a video on this in our archives, which you can enjoy by clicking here.
