This is another of those quick and easy make in a weekend-style quilts that Valerie loves to make.
Description
Another of those workshops that Valerie loves to share, which can easily be made over a weekend (indeed the top in a few hours even!), that raids some of your stash – or a jelly roll that has been lurking(!). You just combine some piano keys with a co-ordinating background fabric.
Valerie also gives you some helpful hints on how to quick piece these and then you can re-trim (if necessary) to make them into a perfect square before piecing them into rows – so another quilt that is great for beginners and one where you don’t have to worry about your seam allowance -just be consistant.
And think how great this would look in adult colours – say a jelly roll of japanese fabrics or maybe just using a single colour as the focus. (or if you are good at cutting the Kaffe Fassett fabric bundles would be brilliant too!!)
If you like the scrap quilt that Valerie mentions – the 9patch and snowball – you can find that workshop by clicking here.
