Kantha is a traditional technique that originated in India and Bangladesh. It uses a running stitch and is suitable for everyone from beginner to expert.
This new Kantha ‘Trust Hare’ kit contains all the perle 12 thread, fabrics and full instructions to stitch up an image of a large and small hare (leveret) gazing up at each other. You can also stitch hills in the background and stitch the sky. This kit is stitched onto a pale blue cotton fabric and also includes two layers of cotton muslin for underneath.
The kit features just one stitch, the running stitch. It is suitable for a wide range of stitching abilities. It would make a lovely kit for someone new to Kantha work.
