Description

These little Converse-style knitted baby booties are so quick and simple for you to make yet look so colourful and quirky.

This is a pattern for easy-to-knit adorable baby booties using DK/light worsted/8ply yarn throughout. The booties are knitted flat on two needles (NOT knitted in the round). Unlike many knitted booties, you do not need to pick up stitches (which can be tricky for novice knitters). And they’re one of those lovely things that look so much more complicated to knit than is actually the case.

They are also available in three sizes: 0-3 months, 3-6 months and 6-9 months.

For all sizes you need about 20m/22yd in the main colour, 14m/15.5yd in white and 2.5m/2.75yd in black, as well as a pair of 3.75mm/US5 knitting needles and a stitch holder. And you’ll need a crochet hook to make the simple laces.

The pattern is suitable for ‘adventurous beginners’ upwards. You need to know the basics (casting on, casting/binding off, knitting and purling). You’ll also need to know how to increase and decrease, but there are full instructions with diagrams are included in the pattern. And you’ll need to know how to make a simple crochet chain for the laces – again, instructions included! There is no tricky ‘pick up and knit’ instruction, like in many bootie patterns!

As it’s an instant download you can get started straight away.

Redistribution of the pattern itself in any way is strictly prohibited
