This design makes a Silk Wall Hanging. The finished wall hanging is approximately 100 cms x 36 cms (40 inches x 14 inches).
The Titania Wall Hanging is one of three different wall hangings designed by Sylvia Critcher specifically for The Silk Route’s 21st anniversary. It is made using 21 different colours of silk dupion on a foundation fabric and quilted with variegated silk thread on silk wadding.
Sylvia Critcher is a textile designer and tutor with over 35 years experience. She has taught City & Guilds in both Embroidery and in Patchwork and Quilting. She currently teaches a wide range of patchwork and quilting techniques in the UK and overseas. She still finds time to create new designs for her signature technique of Italian quilting.
