TASTER: Twister Cushion from Sylvia Critcher
FREE Tasters (Quilting) • Educational, G, 21-Jan-2022
This is a delightful workshop which covers English Quilting, Trapunto and Sylvia’s own version of French Boutis, or French style corded, work. These are all traditional stitching techniques, but Sylvia has brought them up-to-date. While traditionally worked in white, Sylvia has added colour. She does this both in the form of the fabric and the threads used, and you could use coloured wool to do the cording too.
A selection of patterns and kits for this technique you can find on our website, including the 1/4″ masking tape, that Sylvia likes to use. If you want to find Sylvia’s products, just click here.
Trapunto wool is still available on our website, but only in the smaller size skeins, just click here.
