TASTER: Sail Boats Row of Jennie`s Stripy Stripey Story Quilt
FREE Tasters (Quilting) • Educational, G, 01-Sep-2016
Jennie starts this row off with some simple strip piecing and then you get to make the boats. Do pay attention when cutting out the sails, particularly if you are using printed fabrics, you can make life easier for yourself, if you use plain fabrics and then both sides are the same.
Again Jennie has used rotary cutting templates as these help with accuracy and also because the triangle has a blunted top, you save fabric.
Jennie again likes to press the sames open and you might like to see how the strip stick will help.
This is another row that has a fudge factor on it, more sea if you need it. And the smaller sail is fused into place, so that’s really easy peasy.
We will be talking about the satin stitch applique in another workshop when we get to work on the ice cream.
