Description
Sugar and Spice Project part 9: Adding raw edge applique
Karen Crookes starts the embellishing for the Sugar and Spice quilt project. Using a combination of raw edge applique and Free Motion Sewing. The blank panels off the blocks start to come alive.
There are tips on creating the feature panel outside of the block to ensure the end product fits the panel. Using a backing to give the applique body and preparing the base to take the Free Motion Sewing.
Karen explains how to use Bondaweb for the applique with lots of tips to help get it right first time.
Finishing up with securing the applique with simple Free Motion Sewing.
