TASTER: Paper Bird with Angela Daymond
Educational, G, 01-Dec-2014
Not only does Angela guide you through this delightful papercraft, but you get a short monoprinting workshop too, which creates the background fabric.
Angela loves to use up and recycle not only her magazines but would consider creating this with recycled textiles too.
She guides you through the type of needles she uses on the machine for this, while working on raw edge applique. She shows you how to create the very effective bird feet and gives another tip to help avoid having your rotary cutter ‘borrowed’ for paperwork.
Keep an eye on the simple but effective machine quilting she does too – all hidden behind the strategically placed branch.

Angela has done other workshops for us, mainly using natural dyes and you can learn more about her by clicking here.
