This is the final part of this exhibition – which has yet more inspiration.
Inspired by Sylvia Critcher
Yet more inspiration under the guidance of Sylvia Critcher from this very prolific group of students.
We enjoy several version of Sylvia’s pattern ‘Seeing Stars’ which is a workshop here on the site and some brilliant uses of a variety of small panels being turned into quilts.
If you like the 54/40 quilt then we have reactivated this from our archives for you.
Sylvia also has hidden talents – she teaches (or taught) porcelain doll making complete with authentic clothes and needle sculpture dolls.

The chosen charities for the event were Prostate Cancer; Seeing dogs for the Blind and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf and the Prison Baby Quilts were redirected to St.George’s Hospital in Tooting Surrey and to the charity Momentum, where they have been gratefully received.
Momentum is a charity which aims to help children (up to the age of 17) and the families of children, undergoing treatment for cancer and other life-threatening conditions in Surrey and South West London: for more information visit
