From spikey hedgehogs to Christmas wreaths and other decorations these small 3D objects are fun to make.
Gail feels that felt is really easy to work with as it doens’t fray and she particularly likes to make these small 3D projects using it.
Simple to make by just folding and using the zig-zag stitch on your sewing machine, Gail points out a few things to bear in mind and to think about when you are using her patterns, which come with full size templates – and she does suggest that you may like to make these out of something a little bit more robust that paper so that you can use them again and again!
She also suggests that although her Follow the Leader pattern for a draught excluder has several hedghogs on it, you can always just use one hedghog and pop it onto a cushion.
Other cushions using this technique are the Dahlia and Sunflower and she also talks about a needlecase and tape measure set too.
We are thrilled to tell you that Gail will be joining us at a quilt retreat in March 2018 at the beautiful Cotswold Water Park in Cirencester and if you would like to learn more about this – just click here.
