More free motion ideas from the award winning quilting Paula Doyle – this time using pre-marked designs.
More useful filler stitches, this time following a pre-marked design. Paula shows you how to make these – such as mock cathedral window – and then how to create this with an interesting look at making it a continuous design.
Paula often uses a pre-marked grid, and she guides you through how to make this yourself and while Paula uses quite a small grid as a guide, you could think about taking these design inspirations and transferring them onto a quilt made with simple squares – how great would that look!
Also Paula reminds us that the lines you draw will be removed at some stage so don’t panic if you aren’t 100% accurate – just make the curves nice rather than jerky! – and again Paula has a great time on how to avoid that jerky start.
