Sugar and Spice Project part 5: Flying Geese blocks

Karen demonstrates another of the components for the Sugar and Spice project. The Flying Geese block common in many patchwork projects.

She does an in depth dive into how to make Flying Geese using two methods. Which method you use depends on the fabric choices.

The Fast Flying Geese method is ideal when the fabrics are the same. Where as the traditional method works well for geese made from different fabrics or ones destined to be fussy cut.

Karen goes through each method demonstrating the importance of securing the work to maintain accuracy. There are tips on trimming the blocks to ensure quarter inch seams remain.

The points of the Flying Geese are an important part of this block. Karen shows how to ensure these are perfect every time.
