Magic Fabric Dyeing with Helen Deighan
In this second portion of Helen’s Dyeing workshop she shows us how to graduate the colour in order to achieve a range of coloured fabrics; also how to get a range of colour into a single piece of fabric and how to space dye in a cat litter tray (always one to keep things simple, use everyday items and keep your dyeing mess-free) – all of which she calls ‘Magic’
More about Helen Deighan
I live in Grayshott with my husband, a professional jazz musician.
I have two children, Emma, my daughter, also lives in Grayshott with her little Jack Russel called Jack and my son Ben who lives in Australia with his family – hence the regular visits down under. Other than sewing, knitting and now spinning I also enjoy gardening.
In January 2002, I opened my new studio in rural Hampshire. It’s purpose built for both dyeing and sewing, with plenty of light and space – the perfect environment for my classes and workshops.
