Dresden Plate is a traditional favourite and Chris has designed a special template to make this patchwork quickly and accurately. – AND she has a jelly roll version!
In this workshop Chris shows us how to create this circular patchwork quickly and easily, with the help of her template; this allows you to cut accurately through several layers with your rotary cutter which then means that of course your sewing will also be much more accurate.
AND Chris has thought through how to create these from jelly rolls – which really gives a very different look, but just as simple to do.
Once you have made the plates, they are very simple to applique onto a background, as the tops are already turned,so no raw edges to deal with, and you can use your favourite machine stitch with lovely thread to complete your work (of course hand options are also possible!)
