Dawn talks about her book – the Pocket Tutor – which she feels is an essential guide to Patchwork and Quilting. This is part of our Throwback Thursday programme when we revist our archives.
This is just such a great reference book with sections on wadding, needles, threads, and machine and all in a handy tote-around size so that all the information can be with you all the time!
We are very blessed now in the patchwork world to have a wide variety of wonderful threads to use on a wide variety of machines and there is an array of needles that are made too (Schmetz alone make 33!)- but which is which? what do I need to match with what? and how do I fix the tension on my machine when the stitch doesn’t look right? – all these questions and more have the answers in this little book.
Enjoy the lecture (again and again) and then purchase your very own copy!
Dawn tours the country both lecturing and teaching and for more information you can contact her at:firstname.lastname@example.org
