Description
Sugar and Spice Project part 8: Assembly
Having completed all the components of the blocks in the previous 7 films. Karen gives comprehensive tips and tricks on assembling the blocks.
Starting with design and colour ways that suit your colour palate. Laying out the component blocks and joining them together so that the seams nest to create perfect points. To assembling the smaller blocks to create larger blocks.
There are tips along the way such as taking a photo of the layout to check colour placement and pleasing layout. Ironing the seams so they nest perfectly. To compiling the blocks in order so that you don’t have to use an un-picker.
The blocks are then ready for the next stages of embellishing with embroidery and raw edge applique.
