Description
The second block in our series
In this our second block of the series we remind you:
- how to rotary cut strips
- how to cut squares quickly, accurately and safely
- that a rotary cutter is a brilliant tool but sharp so needs to be treated with respect.
We also cover strip piecing to make the alternative 4-patch segments and how to sew the 4-patches together accurately.
2 design options
There are two design options – but you could vary it yet again and have a plain square in the centre – so many options!
AND if you are thinking of making the standard 9-patch into a quilt by repeating the blocks you should consider watching the strip-piecing tutorial (‘basics’ in the quick links).
