Small 4-Block Sampler Quilt Pieced by Hand by Paula Doyle – Part 4

Description

To finish the quilt you just need to add sashing and cornerstones. For this you make templates in the same way as before.

Paula also moves on to give you inspiration by showing you other quilts. She suggests you might like to try making more than one block of the same pattern. You will create an alternative pattern – as well as a whole quilt obviously – such as Jewel Box – which is also a great scrap quilt.

Paula is an accomplished machine quilter and quilt maker but she explains why she continues to find place in her busy life for hand piecing.  It allows you to be very portable and take advantage of any few minutes you might have spare. Those little 5 minutes add up!
