3D Shapes
We caught up with Pauline at a Textiles in Focus event she organized. She demonstrated how to create 3D shapes with wire and cheap fabric scrim. This is usually used for cleaning purposes, but it is amazing how effective it incredible home once dyed a pretty color.
Pauline uses a simple zig-zag stitch on her sewing machine to cover thin wire, which she has twisted into the leaf shape, but this technique can also be done by hand with a simple buttonhole/blanket stitch.
