September is the month of mellow fruitfulness and we have Kate Findlay showing us how to create exquisite Robin and Rosehip applique designs. It is just one of her designs that you can purchase in kit form.
Our crochet specialist Jane Czaja teaches us how to create a lovely scarf to keep you snug this autumn.
We have two workshops this month from Valerie Nesbitt. The first is a lovely Bed of Roses quilt that uses layer cake 10” squares to such great effect . The second is called the Spa quilt which you can make in a couple of different sizes.
We have a brand-new embroidery tutor called Niamh Wimperis, fresh from her BBC television experiences. She talks with Valerie about the embroidery retreat she’ll be doing for Justhands-on.tv in November. There, delegates will be stitching a piece that she designed specifically for the weekend. We also have a satin stitch workshop on the beautiful sampler wreath.
Our Technique Thursday features Gail Penberthy and her amazing Raggy Edged quilts. These are very tactile and a great way of using fleece. Angela Madden shares a Circle Slice workshop with us where the ruler does all the work (no maths involved) and we have more twiddling and fiddling from Jennie Rayment with her Tucked Up band workshop.
