Coming up in November on Justhands-on.tv…..
Now that the clocks have gone back there is perhaps more sewing time. However, with a 5 week month, we have lots of inspiration on offer.
Janet Clare gives us some very useful tips on how she uses 5 inch precut charm squares (and even the smaller 2 ½”). Paula Doyle shows us how to make her Tulip Tree bag – the handiest bag ever she says! And which includes her mini mosaics. Jennie Rayment shows us how to make a very lovely and useful box, whilst Valerie shows us how to make a beautiful Cupcake quilt – brilliant for using up scraps of wadding.
Our expert tutor interview this month is with the brilliant contemporary quilter Helen Butcher. We’ll also be back filming in the studio this month in time to bring you a brand new knitting workshop from our very own Fiona Goble. She’ll be teaching us to knit Animal Paws
Lorna Bateman returns to the Justhands-on tv studio with her embroidery expertise , showing us the very useful Turkey Stitch, whilst Dawn Cameron-Dick keeps us warm as the winter approaches with a lovely snuggle quilt workshop, which works well as a group project and which could have a Christmas theme.
We have a great Throwback Thursday workshop in which Jennie Rayment shows us a very quick tip for making a Suffolk puff – great for Christmas Yo-Yo- garlands – and her Squares in Squares pattern also has a Christmas feel.
We reach the third and final part of our Tudor Rose Table Runner workshop in which Our English Paper Piecing expert Nancy Adamek shows us how to put the blocks together as well as sharing a great tip on the appliqué section to reduce the bulk on your project.
