Coming up in July on…..

Thinking of the word ‘Christmas ‘  in July is hard to do. However,  we do need to plan. And to help you, this month we have a bumper set of workshops for you, which should give you some more sewing time.

We were joined recently in the studio by Nancy Adamek, who is passionate about English Paper Piecing. Nancy has a workshop for a dinky little Robin ornament for your tree. Angela Daymond has a Kantha tree decoration to show you. And Gail Penberthy shares with us how to make her stunning Christmas Tree Skirt.

Val Nesbitt brings us a lovely new Christmas Wall Hanging from Makower.  This will work with a whole variety of fabric ranges and has a free pattern to download.  Plus Julia Gahagan will be showing us some super miniature quilts inspired by Christmas.  Several of these she designed exclusively for our upcoming retreat with Julia in November this year.

Our Throwback Thursday for July is Jennie Rayment and her Fabric Balls using up scraps, which could be Christmas themed as they are very safe for the very little ones!

This month Valerie Nesbitt also tackles a Folded Potholder and has a workshop on the Cut 9- patch pattern.

And , Lorna Bateman who is the author of our book of the month  – Embroidered Country Gardens- shows us, in a very comprehensive demonstration,  how to create the flower stems with just embroidery stitching that have been used in the book and her supporting kits.
