Videos available in August 2018:
Coming up in the five weeks of August on Justhands-on.tv…..
We are going back to basics with a short series on rotary cutting, which has become such a fundamental technique in today’s patchwork; as well as basic tips from Valerie, there is how to cut strips and squares; using your ruler to create angles and also how to change the blade.
All these skills will be needed if you want to fully enjoy Valerie’s workshop using a bright layer cake of Sunprints by Alison Glass from Makower as well as her quick strip children’s quilt; and Jennie shows you how to make the most of your Dresden plate shape – even creating a turtle.
Our throwback Thursday video is the brilliant Sylvia Critcher and her super Lifted star workshop – a real favourite of ours.
Then we thought you would enjoy being creative with Helen Deighan with her mess-free dyeing in a plastic bag technique – which you will see you can do on a kitchen table with very little special equipment and even the grandchildren could be helpful – and dyed fabric is so very individual and unique.
And there is another workshop designed to be shared with the younger age group from Kate Findlay with her simple embroidered lavender bags.
