This delightful little hat was designed by Sarah and the pattern is available as an instant download.
Sarah talks you through the different section of the hat construction – i.e. the rib, the moss stitch, and the stocking stitch – all of which are made with the same two stitches – knit and purl.
Rib has the knit and purl sitting above each other; the moss stitch uses the two stitches offset to create the texture and the stocking stitch has those two stitches again, but this time in alternate rows.
She shows you how you can identify which is which, and therefore where you are so that you aren’t committed to sitting down and making the hat all in one go – you can pop out for tea/coffee and even leave your knitting overnight!
If you would like to learn to knit – we have a series with Rosee Woodland – and you can make a start by clicking here.
